Creepy Doesn't begin to Describe it....

Good thing I did that series in a very gory water color style..he looks far too evil as a cut out doll with empty, soulless eyes.

week 9

Week 9 really doesn't have a theme..though that is starting to become a theme. I'm redoing some of my old Tom Thumb illustrations. I'll be doing some more digital painting practice.  And I'll be putting up some sketches for the "Weeping, Wailing, and Gnashing of Teeth" story book post card.

New and Improved Robes!

I think I've finally found a digital painting style that works for me. Let me know what you guys think.

Gawain Sneak Peek.

A look into the potential rendering style for the whole book.  Doesn't he look so happy and frostbitten?

Creepy Face.

Scratch Shade Lady.

Kettle Bell Exercising.

Scratch Face Shading.

Amanda in a Jacket

Rollin' Robbie Robot.

Hellish Cricket.

I really...hate clowns.

It doesn't help that I used to have a job as one...

Evil Robot Battery

Frog Eating a Battery.

Unibrow Knight

Just a quick 2-3 minute doodle between classes of myself as a knight...with a unibrow.
I've got to start using pencil first with my doodles.

Man with a mohawk.

A bit warped by holding the page at an angle, but he's still a pretty messed up looking fellow.

Beady little white eyes.

Gawain doing some strange poses; creepy little guy.

The Green Knight, doing his thing and losing his head twice.

week 8!

Week eight is kind of a mixed bag of drawing. There are some realistic bodies and faces, some loose pose sketches, a couple of stylized little creatures, a battery or two, and some stuff from Sir Gawain and the Green knight.

Teenage Alien Face.

Pumpkin Face.

week 7!

For a good old change of pace this week I'm going to try and break out of this stylistic rut that I've been in as of late. Not that it is a bad thing to have a particular style, it is just a good experience to try and learn new techniques and concepts to better one's self as an artist. But enough rambling, this mostly means I'm going to be playing with a bunch of variations on Facial Structures specifically this time around. Let me know what you guys think.
